The undead can really screw up your senior year
...
Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancĂ©. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction.

I’m not
really sure what to say about this one. I thought it was a very romantic book,
but that really wasn’t it. I loved the tension between Jessica and Lucius. It
was so real, the whole struggle with the existence of vampires and her arranged
marriage with Lucius. I really liked Jessica; she was strong and sometimes very
emotional. She’s sarcastic and easy to like, but she could lighten up. She
never laughs, Lucius even comments on that. Lucius is just great; he’s all the
mystery and the hot vampire. You seem him struggle with the American culture
and he really becomes a young adult. He grows, rebels and all in a few months. I didn’t like the fact that he gave up very
easily on Jessica, especially when Jess seems kind of into Lucius. It was
really strange why he would do that. The middle part was therefore boring and
strange. The end however was okay, I really thought there wouldn’t be a
satisfying ending, but luckily it was good. All in all it was okay, easy and
fun to read.
