Reason to Breathe is an electrifying page turner from start to finish, a unique tale of life-changing love, unspeakable cruelty, and one girl’s fragile grasp of hope
.

After so many paranormal books I decided to read a contemporary young adult book. This book was really heart breaking. I cried a lot. It was extreme, intense and a very emotional rollecoaster. Emma's story is just horrible, the abuse and still she stays strong. Her friendship with Sara and her relationship with Evan gives you so much hope for her. I could not put this book down and I finished it in the middle of the night. I had to know how it ended, and god what an awful end! Luckily there is a second book coming up, so I have to wait for that one. You get to know different characters and you really symphatize with Emma. I got frustrated throughout the whole book, because I felt like the situation was unfair and I really liked to help. It's just that you hurt for Emma. She's so selfless and her relationship with Evan was great. I would recommend this book in a heartbeat.
